Francesco Maglia is one of the last umbrella manufacturers in the world to make their umbrellas by hand. It was founded in Milan in 1854 by Francesco Maglia. Francesco started working as an umbrella maker in 1850 and decided to open his own business after 4 years of apprenticeship. At that time, umbrellas were in great demand, which caused a boom in umbrella manufactures. Therefore, it was only logical for Francesco to start his own business, which is now in its 6th generation.
